- Fallopian tubes that are damaged or blocked may prevent you from releasing the eggs.
- Endometriosis is a severe condition.

Complete IVF Procedure
It used to be a mystery procedure, but it is now almost a household procedure. If a couple cannot conceive naturally or is looking for surrogacy procedures, in vitro fertilization (IVF), fertilization is done outside of the mother’s body in test tubes. The artificial stimulation of a woman’s ovulation to produce eggs allows her to fertilize the eggs with her partner’s sperm using medical techniques. Artificial fertilization is performed in a laboratory by creating the ideal environment to mimic natural conditions. After fertilization, eggs (embryos) are kept under observation for three to five days before being transferred into the womb. Once the embryo gets attached to the uterine walls, the pregnancy proceeds naturally that.
How is an IVF performed – Step by step guide
We are certain that consultation is a key role in IVF. It is crucial because IVF is only as successful as the doctor’s experience and the lab’s equipment. More experience is better for IVF. Fertility World Centre has the most experienced and top-rated fertility doctors in Kolkata. After conducting tests on both partners, we will inform you about all possible treatment options. Our doctor will explain the pros and cons of IVF treatment and tell you if IVF is an option.
- After consultation
We let the couple decide on what they want. Trust is the most important thing. We respect your privacy and will keep every detail about you secret. If you need a second opinion, we are happy to help at every step of it. This is where trust is essential.
- Before the IVF journey, the couple is required to make little changes in their lifestyle and try some medications to stimulate their ovaries before they start the IVF process. One egg is naturally released by your ovaries every month. This IVF procedure makes it difficult to harvest one egg. Your ovaries will be stimulated by the administration of medicines that allow you to release more eggs. To maintain normal hormone levels, some supplementary medications may also be prescribed.
Harvesting eggs means collecting eggs. After 36 hours, the eggs can be extracted from the follicles. Because it can hinder natural development, the eggs cannot be taken too early or too late. A doctor uses inter-vaginal ultrasound to assess the eggs’ condition and determine the best retrieval time. Once it is time, a micro-needle with ultrasound imaging is guided through your vagina using local anesthesia. Eggs are then collected by suction. An embryologist will inspect the eggs and determine if there are any healthy eggs. The incubator will store six or more eggs that are healthy.
- Collecting Sperms
For egg retrieval, the sperm from your partner is taken earlier. The clinic will need to have the sperm sample. To keep the semen warm, it should be taken in a sterilized container. It should be returned to experts within an hour after the retrieval. The sample is then examined and observed to determine the quality and quantity of sperm. If healthy sperm cannot be found in the sample, a micro-needle can be used to extract it. Then, the sample is processed to recover healthy sperm.
The sperm and mature eggs are now placed in a Petri dish (or cell-culture dish), in a laboratory for fertilization. To eliminate uncertainty about pregnancy, some sperm can be directly injected into the egg. This is known as the ICSI (intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) process. To ensure their survival and development, the fertilized eggs must be kept under observation for at least five days.
- Embryo Transfer
The healthy embryos are then observed and transferred to your uterus using special medical equipment called catheters. (A small tube that fits inside the uterus) To increase your chances of conception, you can have 2 to 3 embryos transferred to your uterus depending on availability. It is a sign that you are PREGNANT if any of the embryos transferred attach to your uterus. After two weeks, you can request a confirmation test for your pregnancy. After the IVF procedure, you can return home the same day. It is recommended that you rest for 24 hours after embryo transfer. It is painless and almost effortless.
IVF with OWN EGGS AND PARTNER’S SPERM
The IVF process begins with hormonal stimulation. This is necessary in order to get more eggs than in the periodical cycles. The doctor will monitor the stimulation with an ultrasound. Follicle puncture under general sedation is used to extract the Genoblasts. An ultrasound check is performed. The eggs are collected along with the partner’s fertilizer. The eggs that are obtained are then fertilized using sperm. The embryos are then stored (cultivated) outside the body of the woman. After several days, the best embryo is transferred to the woman’s uterus (Embryo Transfer). The quality embryos that are still viable can be frozen for later treatment. Packages start from just INR 1,20,000. Avail of this affordable offer right now.
IVF Cost with Sperm Donor
There are many ways to treat infertility. Each cost is calculated separately and differently. The IVF Cost with a Sperm Donor is on average between 1.20 to 2.50 Lakh. This option may be suitable for a male with low sperm count and infertility problems.
IVF Treatment with Donor Egg
Egg donation allows a woman to give her eggs to another woman (recipient) to allow the recipient to have a child. If the donor wishes to donate eggs, she must have been given medication that will allow her to develop multiple eggs within a single cycle. The donor is then asked to remove the eggs by inserting a needle through her vaginal tissue. The eggs are then carefully aspirated from the ovaries. An embryologist evaluates the eggs after they have been removed. Next, the sperm of the male partner or from a sperm bank is placed around each egg or injected. This process is called “In Vitro Fertilisation” (IVF).
If a woman is unable to conceive with her own eggs, egg donation can be used. You could have a woman who was born without ovaries or is currently in menopause. She may also not have responded to hormonal stimulation or has poor egg or embryo quality from previous IVF attempts. A donor may be a choice for women who have a genetic disorder that they don’t want to pass on.
IVF Treatment with Egg Donor-Donors with the premium status (if requirements)may charge a little higher. This option will result in an IVF treatment costing up to 1.5 to 2lakhs. IVF costs with FET- In this procedure, the frozen embryo is transferred into the uterus. This is the same process that was used to fertilize the eggs in the previous IVF cycle. FET costs about 1.5 to 3 lakh, you can freeze embryos on your own natural cycle, hormone preparation, or induction.
